Tawny Port Cask 10 años - Artesano Rum Panama

This Artesano Rum has been aged for over 8 years in an ex-Bourbon-Barrel before it was transfered into an ex-Tawny Port Cask for another 2 years, making up a total of over 10 years.

The bouquet has perfectly integrated the port cask by showing notes of roasted walnuts and almonds with a hint of vanilla and pepper.
After a while in the glass you can find cooked banana and orangemarmelade too.
Also its age is easy notable with a fine aroma of toasted wood.

The palate shows a lot of walnut and has a oily teexture. Well equilibrated with a little touch of wood, giving it more length in the finish.

No chillfiltration and no aromas had been used - this rum is only created by ageing.
