Redwine meets rum

Amarone meets Artesano - the cask for this special single cask expression of Artesano Rum comes from Pietro Zardini, a high quality producer of Amarone.
But what is Amarone? It is a dry redwine coming from the Lago di Garda, more accurately said, from the Valpolicella. The grapes are dried, loosing up to 50% of their weight and then being fermented, so the wine ends up being pretty strong and full of wonderful aromas.

We have the honour to get those casks directly after they are emptied so we can achieve the full impact of the wine on the Artesano.
Therefore you can find a lot of fruity aromas in this rum.

The bouquet starts with plum and fresh cutted wood. After a while you get raisins and some spiciness.

On the palate this Amarone casks gives a lot of wine influence on the Artesano, but being always in a good balance with the rum aromas.
You can find dried oranges, plum, vanilla, some pepper and dried dates.
